Pour savoir plus sur chaque programme :

A MUSICAL VOYAGE BY THE SEA
We will be revisiting traditional sea-side nursery rhymes, with a special focus on songs by acclaimed Canadian singer and songwriter Raffi. Raffi’s song « Baby Beluga » will lead us into exploring underwater sea animals whilst his equally well-known « Down by the bay » will encourage us to investigate seashore creatures and rhyming patterns. The children will also practise talking about their sea-side holidays and about what they like to do when they go to the beach. Finally, we will also unleash our creativity by making some seaside crafts and our own Ocean Drum.

END OF SUMMER FUN
Summer is the season of sun and fun! In this workshop, we will celebrate the end of summer through games, engaging activities and craft projects. Students will create their “Summer Memory Jars” and organise a summer party on the last day of the camp. Throughout this three-day workshop, we will focus on using summer-related vocabulary to ask and answer questions and to make simple sentences.

AN INTRODUCTION TO AMERICAN FOLK MUSIC THROUGH SONGS
In America, young people learn American folk music at summer camps. In this workshop, we will discover this great tradition through singing and games. Professional musician Christian Poidevin will accompany us with a wide range of acoustic instruments: guitar, banjo, auto-harp, harmonica, dobro. Together with Unity Woodman, theatre teacher, we will prepare an end-of-week show of all the songs that we have learned.

LIVING IN A BUG’S WORLD
This art and science English camp is meant to get up close and personal to bugs and insects. We will see the good, bad and the “bug-ly” of many different insects throughout the week by learning interesting facts and playing games. Using different art techniques and our observation skills, we will paint and create many bug-inspired works.

MY SUMMER BUCKET LIST
Join us for an English art and discovery camp to explore the magic of summer bucket lists! We will check off our lists by doing arts and crafts related to fun summer activities. If the weather permits, we will have fun in the sun by adventuring outside. Don’t forget your pencil bag, sunglasses, water, SPF and sun hat because we are in for a week of fun to kick off Summer 2022!

AN ARTS AND CRAFTS WORKSHOP: CITY BREAK
Come and join us this summer for adventures in the mountains, in the woods and by the sea! Students will discover different such activities as camping and snorkelling. They will learn about wildlife and undersea creatures as well as about pollution threatening our planet and other interesting facts. Kids will improve their English skills, listen to stories, play games, all while being creative and artistic.

TWISTED TALES DRAMA CAMP
Can you imagine a story in which the big bad wolf was actually not so bad? Can you envision if Malificent was simply magnificent? Can you picture if Jack bought  a can of baked beans with his last coins? Join us for a week of fun where we will twist around the beloved allegories we’ve all heard before.  With drama games, we will work on changing up perspectives and plot lines. By exploring new scripts, we will meet characters that are eerily familiar but never how we’ve known them before! With drama techniques and performance, we will transform into these characters to tell a twisted tale in a short performance.

WHAT THE LADYBIRD HEARD
– A musical interpretation of Julia Donaldson’s fun, rhyming and rhythmic story.
The children will be reenacting the story with songs, hand-made puppets and posters, as well as participating in fun activities such as Chinese whispers and blind-folding games. We will also pay close attention to the rhymes and patterns in Julia Donaldson’s book, whilst making the map of the story.

AROUND THE WORLD IN 3 DAYS
Come and discover the wonders of the world as we explore different countries, their diverse culture and traditions. We will discuss the concepts of continent, country and city before embarking on an imaginary journey to India, China and the USA. This camp will be filled with fun activities, songs, games and crafts to spark the children’s curiosity and expand their knowledge of the world.

LEGO® TECHNIC WORKSHOP: NINJAGO®
This workshop will develop and enhance students’ problem solving and critical thinking skills. Students will enjoy using LEGO® bricks to work on exciting projects and to explore concepts of engineering, architecture and physics.
